100% Funded!

So proud to announce that the Red Hook Jazz Festival's Kickstarter project is fully funded - actually, it's 103% funded as of May 26 - thank you to all our generous backers!

If you meant to donate and didn't get around to it, please click on the link in the sidebar to the right.  We are able to continue fundraising until June 6 and every cent goes to producing the shows this year - all of the production team and staff are volunteers who receive no compensation.

Now it's on to organizing these great shows, which will be at the Urban Meadow on Sunday, June 10 and Sunday June 17 from 1 PM - 6 PM each day.  Suggested admission is $10 for adults for five hours of music and kids are always free.  With big thanks to our local sponsors:  The House of Pizza and Calzone, Woofs 'n Whiskers, Mazzone's Hardware, Mini-Max Toys and Cuts.

Jazz is alive and kicking in Brooklyn in 2012!

Red Hook Jazz Festival Kickstarter! Support the arts in our community

For five years the Red Hook Jazz Festival has come to the Urban Meadow Community Garden on the Brooklyn waterfront- years of cool music in a beautiful outdoor setting.  This year the producers of the show, Urban Meadow coordinator Michael Golub and his partner Paul DeLucia of big bang productions, have launched a Kickstarter project with the goal of raising at least $1500 to support the artists, equipment and other show necessities.  Please consider supporting this homegrown festival and the arts in Brooklyn!

Check out the video to discover what the project is all about and hear some of this great music.
